'The Six Key Practices of Personal Effectiveness' is a proprietary system of personal effectiveness owned by Quo Vadis Consulting Ltd. It has been developed, applied and enhanced over a period of more than twenty-five years based on actual business experience. It recognises that effectiveness can be learned, that this can be done through practice, and that effectiveness is independent of intelligence.
Each element of the framework for The Six Key Practices of Personal Effectiveness has an associated action imperative - something you do to improve personal effectiveness. It is these action imperatives which constitute the six key practices.
The Six Key Practices of Personal Effectiveness...
- recognise that the best way to improve the effectiveness of the organisation is to improve the effectiveness of its individuals;
- constitute a simple behavioural framework, supported by a flexible set of tools and techniques, which can be used to dramatically increase personal contribution;
- are effective in any situation where an individual has a degree of discretion in their job role.
Further, they are
- are easy to remember;
- can be applied every day in everyday situations;
- become automatic with practice;
- are transferable between job roles and organisational levels;
- give a yardstick for identifying what is not effective behaviour.
